As part of the Pierce@60 Signature Event Series, Franklin Pierce University inducted its 2022 Athletic Hall of Fame Class. Honorees at the October 21 ceremony were Hayley Arnold ’16 (Women’s Ice Hockey), Antoine Gisore ’15 (Men’s Cross Country and Track & Field), and the 2008-2009 Women’s Basketball Team. This year’s class joins 119 previous inductees, all of whom have distinguished themselves through outstanding achievement as student-athletes and their contributions to Raven Athletics.
"Tonight’s induction ceremony asks us to collectively pause, reflect, and honor the members of the Hall of Fame Class of 2022," said President Kim Mooney ’83. "[They] earned the abiding respect of their coaches and teammates – First as students and now as alumni with athletic careers so revered, they will be forever memorialized in the Franklin Pierce University Athletic Hall of Fame. Congratulations!"
Hayley Arnold ’16 was a part of the inaugural class of the women’s ice hockey program which celebrated its 10th anniversary season last year. She played in all 97 games for the team over her career at Franklin Pierce and was a two-time team captain, and served as an alternate captain as a sophomore. With a 12-44-56 career scoring line, she ranks third all-time in program history in points by a defender. The 44 assists record still ranks 10th all-time in school history, and she capped her career with All-NEHC Second Team honors as a senior and two-time All-Academic Team honoree.
Antoine Gisore ’15 is regarded as one of the founders of the men’s cross country and track & field teams. A two-time NCAA Championship qualifier, he reached the outdoor 1500 meter final in 2014. During his athletic career, Gisore earned numerous titles and honors, including six-time NE10 champion, eight-time All-NE10 performer, a nine-time All-East Region performer, and a four-time All-New England performer. Gisore maintains FPU records in the indoor mile and the indoor 3000 meters, the oldest standing records in program history.
With the 50th anniversary of Title IX, the 2008 - 2009 women’s basketball team, the most successful in program history, rounded out this year’s Hall of Fame Class. Under then seventh-year head coach Mark Swasey, and led by co-captains and sisters All-American Johannah Leedham ’10 and Jennifer Leedham ’09, the Ravens claimed their first NE10 title that season before going on a run all the way to the Division II National Championship. Ultimately falling to Minnesota State-Mankato, the 2008-2009 Ravens women’s basketball team remain just the third team from New Hampshire, regardless of division or gender, to compete in an NCAA basketball championship game.

I feel a great sense of anticipation for the futures of our current Ravens because of the inspiring stories honored this evening and I want to express our appreciation for the continued support and community these Ravens extend to us."
